Welcome to RIDARTECH™ Communicator, an online service (the “Service“) for documenting, sharing,reporting, synchronizing and archiving content (“Content”) related to construction projects (“Projects”). Our designated applications for Android tablet devices and smartphones, and our designated web-based interface, which are used to access the Service, constitute an integral component of the Service and will all be referred to as the “App”.

Ridar Technologies Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This policy (the “Policy”) explains our privacy practices for the Service. It describes the ways your personal information and data is collected and used and the rights and options available to you with respect to your information. The personal information you provide (as described below) depends on your volition and consent. You are not legally obligated to provide or give access to this information, but we do require it to in order to allow you to use the Service.

This policy is incorporated to the Service’s End User License Agreement (here) (the “Terms”) and constitutes an integral part of them.

Personal Information that we collect

The Project’s construction company and the Project’s managers may provide us your contact information, so that you may register to use the Service and so that users who are involved with you in the Project can email you through the Service. We collect your geo-location when you post Content on the Service, and upload that information along with the Content. We collect certain data regarding your mobile or tablet device, for the sole purpose of verifying and authenticating you as a user. The App may access your device’s audio, video or storage components, depending on the type of Content you post. The Content that you post on the Service may contain personal information, but it is not treated as private or confidential and you should not have any expectation of privacy with respect to it. Personal Information that we collect

When the Project’s construction company subscribes to the Service, or when the Project’s managers identify those who may be involved in the Project, they may provide us your contact information – such as your name, email address, telephone number, and job title – so that you may register to use the Service. We may thus use your email address to send you an invitation to use the Service. Other users, who are involved with you in the Project, may use the Service to send messages to your email address. When you launch the App for the first time with your user account, we may access your smartphone’s or tablet device’s text messages (SMS) in order to process the authentication text message that the Service sends to you. When you post Content on the Service through your smartphone or tablet device, we collect information about your geographical location, altitude and compass bearing. This information will be posted along with the Content you upload and will be viewable by users who view the Content. We also collect your device’s unique ID and identifying SIM data, for the purpose of verifying you as a user and authenticating your device. We may use third party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to collect information pertaining to your activities on the App, including the information or content that you viewed, your session durations, the Content you accessed and malfunctions that may have occurred while you used the App.

Personal information that you provide

The App may access your smartphone’s or tablet device’s components such as camera (to capture images and video), microphone (to record audio) and local storage (to retrieve documents you desire to post) – depending on the type of Content you post on the Service. Keep in mind that the Content that you post on the Service may contain, or be indicative of, your personal information or third parties’ personal information, depending on the particulars of the Content. Such Content is not treated as private or confidential and you should not have any expectation of privacy with respect to it.
BECAUSE THE CONTENT YOU UPLOAD MAY HAVE TO DO WITH THE PRIVACY OF OTHERS, YOU MUST LAWFULLY OBTAIN THE CONSENT OF ALL INDIVIDUALS WHOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION OR PRIVATE AFFAIRS MAY BE DEPICTED OR SHOWN IN THE CONTENT. IN ANY CASE, USE CAUTION AND COMMON SENSE WHEN YOU UPLOAD CONTENT CONTAINING OR DEPICTING PERSONAL INFORMATION OF YOURSELF OR OTHER INDIVIDUALS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONTENT THAT YOU UPLOAD.
When you use the Service to send Project-related email messages to others, we access your smartphone’s or tablet device’s contact lists and address book, in order to let you more conveniently select the recipients to which you wish to send the email. We do not store a copy of these contact lists and address book on the Service’s servers. When you engage in certain activities on our Service, such as submitting a customer-service request, you may be asked to provide certain personal details depending on the activity or request. When we process your inquiries or requests, we may also require additional personal information from you, to verify your account and identity.

Information Security

We implement measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss of information and unauthorized access or use of information. For example, we store you device’s ID and identifying SIM data in scrambled format. However, these measures are unable to provide absolute information security. Therefore, although efforts are made to secure your personal information, it is not guaranteed and you cannot reasonably expect that the Service and its related databases will be immune from any wrongdoings, malfunctions, unauthorized interceptions or access, or other kinds of abuse and misuse.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Policy from time to time. Substantial changes will take effect 30 days after we provide you a notice of such changes through the Service. Other changes will take effect 7 days after we provide notice. However, if the Policy is amended to comply with legal requirements, the amendments will become effective immediately upon their initial posting, or as required. The most up-to-date Policy will always be accessible on our website.

Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect will indicate your acceptance of the amended Policy. If you do not agree with the amended Policy, you must uninstall the Service and avoid any further use of it.
